On March 27th, I had the honour of helping facilitate a Leadership Summit for 37 unique and high achieving women at Google. It filled my cup to learn and to share the space with such incredible women. The theme of Summit #1 was "Leading from the Inside Out" and it was magical to see these women connecting and accessing the wealth of inner wisdom being shared in the room.
My big takeaways:
1️⃣ BE UNAPOLOGETIC - Owning more parts of your identity as a leader allows others to also show up more authentically as part of your team
2️⃣ GUIDEPOSTS - Knowing your core values and honoring them in your choices allows for more flow and alignment in life (an incredible way of getting unstuck!)
3️⃣ NAME & TAME - We all have nasty inner critics- but doing the work to identify the voice frees up space for self compassion and progress. Making it fun can also take out the sting!
4️⃣ THOUGHTFUL NETWORKING - Women (and people!) rise when they are more thoughful about their network and personal board of directors. Mapping out your champions, mentors and sponsors and keeping these relationships dynamic and warm is a component of fixing the "broken rung" of leadership.
5️⃣ TRUST - Oftentimes, the best advice comes from within. Trust your inner voice and bet on yourself!
